The "Small Things" is a non profit organization whose mission is to reintegrate former homeless. The fight against exclusion is a gentle reintegration into the world of work. Whether
the textile, furniture, appliances or bicycles, social workers repair
and prepare individuals for donations of new life, because these
objects are then sold in various brands of Small Things. The association also funds several social care homes and give hope to those who did more ...This
year, the parade of "little things" was to raise funds through the
auction of unique pieces by young designers, from the "raw material" of
Small Things. The 2010 edition was an
opportunity to discover some incredible fashion creations, but not only
... For two years, the parade celebrates designers who are challenged
to process, recycle, up-cycled "mere objects of everyday life. This year UNIKbikes had the honor to be invited to participate! So
I made a bike in the colors of the association, from two of their
wrecks ... The choice of a brushed finish, the treatment "oxidized"
fork and painted details give particular shape to this bike. This
juxtaposition of raw and rough with parts painted, polished, smooth and
soft evokes this "transformation" taking place on the men of Small
Things ... I will be the judge!
